Mendiants

From the French, meaning 'beggar'.

Disks of chocolate studded with dried fruits and nuts. Unlike chocolate bars that enrobe the fruits and nuts, mendiants are generally made so that the different fruits and nuts offer visual appeal as well as flavour. It is often made in large slabs and then broken into smaller pieces.
